Enhancing Volunteer Coordination Through an Integrated Route Management System

I am part of an agile design team developing a route management system for Philly Truce, to enable volunteers to claim routes for patrolling in high-risk neighbourhoods. The new platform will be replacing the founder’s pen-and-paper approach, to innovate volunteer coordination, improve operational efficiency, and integrate seamlessly with the existing incident-reporting app.

My design process prioritizes inclusivity. Through my work on empowering marginalized communities, I am able to identify where people aren't being heard.

My goal is always to bring diverse perspectives to the table, to identify gaps and make research-backed design decisions to solve complex problems. I thrive on crafting solutions that align with business goals, while prioritizing user needs.

DESIGN

Turning complexity into clarity

I enjoy delving deeply into complex problems, connecting the dots as I go to start to visualize the bigger picture. I break down processes and behavioural patterns, focusing on the details to pinpoint root issues and uncover meaningful solutions. Drawing on my experience as a qualitative researcher in policy, I am skilled at connecting insights from interviews and thematic analysis to identify impactful insights. With this approach, I turn complex challenges into clear, structured, and actionable strategies.

FLEXIBILITY

Working in dynamic environments

My time in the NGO space has given me the skill to navigate diverse and sensitive stakeholder needs. From facilitating focus groups with subject matter experts to speaking as a panelist about the research project, this has empowered me to always take initiative, be open to managing projects independently, and be adaptable to dynamic and unstructured environments.
